Thatcher Moddie started as Ottawa's city manager in late March. The City Commission chose him from more than 40 candidates, and he has spent his first weeks moving his family to town and getting settled.

Moddie said the commission has made housing and economic development its priorities, along with getting the city ready for growth. He laid out his goals for the coming year in an interview with KOFO.

Residents can meet Moddie and his family tonight, April 2, at a public meet-and-greet from 5 to 7 p.m. at Corner Market.
