The Franklin County Fair is open from today, July 15, until July 19 at the county fairgrounds. Some events came early: the horse show was Monday, and 4-H food, photography and visual arts entries were judged Tuesday.
Today, judges look at open class entries in those same categories, and all of it will be shown to the public in Celebration Hall. The animal shows start with dairy cattle at 3 p.m., and the sheep, meat goat and dairy goat shows follow into the evening.
On Thursday, rabbit judging starts at 8 a.m. and the swine show at 5 p.m. The carnival opens at 6 p.m., and the grandstand arena hosts the ranch rodeo.
For details, see KOFO's fair schedule and the July 15 commission minutes, which list the fair dates.
