A community rummage sale at Ottawa High School raised more than $5,000 for the Rachel Morsett Memorial Cheer Scholarship, surpassing the event's original fundraising goal.

The sale brought together donated household items, baked goods, and support from students, parents, alumni, and local businesses. Proceeds will help fund a scholarship honoring Rachel Morsett and support future Ottawa High School cheer participants.

Organizers said the event reflected strong local support for student activities and community fundraising. The scholarship is intended to recognize leadership, spirit, and service among cheer program participants.
